One Claude login per Drive account

Pair each save place with its own Claude Code login. A Drive account uses the Claude login with the same email by default.

If you record meetings for more than one company, you probably want each company's notes written by that company's Claude account. recd pairs a Claude login with each save place.

How recd picks the login

For each meeting, recd looks at where it's saved, then:

  1. The login you chose for that save place in Settings, if you chose one.
  2. Otherwise, the login with the same email as the Drive account. Meetings saved to you@company.com's Drive use the Claude login for you@company.com, without you choosing anything.
  3. Otherwise, your default Claude Code login.

Add a second Claude login

Claude Code keeps each login in its own folder. Your default one is ~/.claude. recd also finds any folder named ~/.claude-<name> in your home folder.

To add one, pick a short name (here, work) and run this in Terminal:

CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR=~/.claude-work claude auth login

Sign in with the other Claude account. Then open recd's Settings again: it lists every login it found and which account each is signed in to.

Choose the login for a save place

  1. Make that place the current save place: Settings › Storage › Google Drive folder › Change….
  2. In Settings › Transcription & AI notes, use AI notes written by to pick the login.

The row says which save place it's for: The Claude login that writes notes for meetings saved to …. It only shows when you have more than one login.

Two logins, one email

If two logins are signed in to the same account, such as your default login and a ~/.claude-work profile, recd tells them apart in the menu: you@company.com · default and you@company.com · work profile.

When a login expires

If a login needs signing in again, the meeting's page says which one and the exact command to run, for example you@company.com needs signing in again: run claude auth login in Terminal. Run it, then press Rewrite on the meeting.
